We, the Church…

So often I hear Christians (I’m guilty of this too) refer to the church as ” it” or “they”…as if it were its own separate entity, body, or building. What a tragedy! Church is “we” and “us,” “ours.”

We make up the body of Christ… the church…it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the body of Christ… That we get to serve one another and bring the gospel to the world!

Let’s take ownership of our church…let’s not wait for someone else to fill in where there is need. Let’s start focusing on what God has called us to do, not what we think others should be doing! Let’s get on our knees and lift up our church in prayer and stop complaining about her.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35

For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:9

If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. 1 Corinthians 12: 26

  1. I really like this. I have actually not been going to church for quite awhile. I make excuses for not going…I know that when I go I feel part of a family and their are many reasons to go for fellowship for service etc. Thank you for this post because it has spoken to me how important going is to be a part of the family of God.

    Blessings ♥
